Thomas Edison, inventor of the incandescent electric light bulb, lived in this house in 1866 when he was 19 years old. Today the simple 1850 cottage has been restored as a museum displaying various inventions patented by Edison: cylinder and disc phonographs, a kinetoscope, the first home motion picture projector, numerous versions of the light bulb.
