“I am writing this letter to express my deep thanks to you and your staff for the excellent service that has been provided to the four groups of South Asian scholars, preachers, religious leaders and community activists that I have brought to the United States on two Peace-Building Programs funded by the U.S. Department of State through grants to the University of Louisville.
Delegates of the first two groups who visited the U.S. in 2004 and 2005 under the “Islamic Life in the U.S.” Program came from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan. A number of religious scholars and preachers who came in the first group did not speak English but they were made very comfortable at Sleep Inn and all their needs were given careful attention. This group, as well as the second group, was very pleased with the courteous and helpful behavior of all the Sleep Inn staff.
The delegates who visited the U.S. in 2007 and 2008 under the “Religion and Society: A Dialogue” Program, came from Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan. Without exception they commended the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the Sleep Inn.
You and your staff have gone beyond the call of duty to assist the distinguished visitors who were guests of the United States government. You made them feel at home, and were always there with a helping hand when they needed something.
