- From April 9 to June 21, 2008 the University of Louisville will host the exhibit "Public History in Louisville: Using the Lens of Historic Imagery." The exhibit displays historical photos of Louisville that explore the many roles public history has played in civic life. Donna M. Neary, Kentucky state historic preservation officer and executive director of the Kentucky Heritage Council, is guest curator of the exhibit. "Public History in Louisville" is displayed at the Photographic Archives gallery of the Ekstrom Library, on the Belknap Campus of the University of Louisville. - From June 26 to 30 the Junior Volleyball Championships will take place in Louisville.
- From August 13 to 24 the World Championship Horse Show will take place at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center, just half a mile from our Louisville hotel. World champion saddlebreds are crowned in different divisions during this show, which is held annually in conjunction with the Kentucky State Fair.
